Earth Science is designed to serve as a foundation for upcoming middle school science courses, especially chemistry and biology.
Units Include: scientific method, inquiry, laws and theories, geological systems, rocks and minerals, plate tectonics, forces that shape the earth, earth’s changing surface, a trip through earth’s history, water, the atmosphere, weather and climate, astronomy and space science, and natural resources. |
7th gradeLife Science
Life Science is designed to serve as a foundation for upcoming middle and high school science courses, especially biology and anatomy & physiology.
Units Include: scientific method, cells and organelles, genetics, evolution, the human body, ecology, and the classification of living things. |
8th gradePhysical Science
Physical Science is designed to serve as a foundation for upcoming high school science courses, especially chemistry and physics.
Units Include: Newtons 3 laws of motion, forces, scientific definitions of work and power, momentum, conservation and conversions of energy, relationships between electricity and magnetism, and wave phenomena and behavior, composition and classification of matter, history of atomic structure up to present day model, learning the periodic table |
